Bamburgh Beach 🏖

It’s got the Bamburgh Castle next to it (we didn’t bother paying to go in) and it’s known as one of the best sandy beaches in England (that isn’t in Cornwall for bloody once).

Free on street parking in Bamburgh or there are paid car parks dotted locally near the castle

Holy Island 🙏🏻🏝

A unique tidal island with plenty of history just before the Scottish borders. You have to drive across a causeway to get to it but make sure you check when is low and high tide!

Farne Islands (boat trip) 🐧⛴

Some of our friends might know we went on a pursuit to see these tiny mini-penguin birds called puffins and literally went to the top left corner of Scotland to find they were late to arrive (we were pissed). We eventually did a second trip to Farne Islands where they were known to nest. It is a boat trip out but we do recommend it if you’re good with boats! There are plenty of reliable boat companies, but we used this one.

Car park available in Seahouses where the boats depart

Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏰🌋

The capital of Scotland is a sight to behold. Beautiful period architecture to be spotted all over the city and it even has a big ol’ castle. There’s also an extinct volcano we would recommend walking up for brilliant views of the city (Arthur’s Seat). THere’s plenty to be explored in Edinbrugh but we’ll leave you to google. It’s just under an hour drive from Eyemouth.
